U14 Féile na nGaéil - April 21st 2007

The U14’s played in the Feile na nGaeil competition this weekend. They played Abbeydorney, Lixnaw and Ballyheigue on Saturday in Causeway and they won all their games, the highlight of which was a tremendous performance against Ballyheigue in the final game of the day.

They then progressed to the semi final stage where they met Ballyduff in Kilmoyley on Sunday evening and despite playing well throughout the game a late Ballyduff goal proved to be their downfall and they never recovered from the late strike and lost on a score of Ballyduff 1-06 Causeway 0-6.

The panel for the weekend was as follows: Keith Carmody, Danny O Shea, David Leen, Patrick Dineen, Seamus Breen, Enda O Halloran, Sean Leahy, Tommy Barrett, Muiris Delaney, Darren Leahy, Padraig Murray, Tommy Casey, Christopher Barrett, Paul McGrath, Joe Diggins, Sarah Murphy, Patrice Diggins, David Breen, Kevin Diggins, Jamie Barrett. Hard luck to the lads but they performed brilliantly throughout and the club was very proud of their efforts.

Also many thanks to all who helped prepare tea and sandwiches and other refreshments throughout the day on Saturday in Casueway. It was most appreciated by everyone present.
