Causeway played Kilmoyley on last Friday evening in Lixnaw in the U13 Championship final and after playing some great hurling in the first half they trailed on the narrowest of margins Kilmoyley 1-01 Causeway 0-3. They further improved their hurling in the second half and the play ebbed back and forth and there was some good hard hurling played but when Causeway were awarded a late 21 yard free, Muiris Delaney blasted the ball to the net and then in the next attack Paul McGrath shot over a point and they led by two points, and then they withstood everything that Kilmoyley could throw at them with David Leen playing a captains role at full back and clearing ball after ball they held on to sin, much to the dleight of the large Causeway support, after the game Jimmy Galvin presented the trophy to David Leen. The final score was Causeway 1-05 Kilmoyley 1-03
