The U12’s played the final of the U12 Division 2 league on Monday evening in Lerrig against Lixnaw and playing against a very strong wind in the first half they were under severe pressure and they conceded four goals and this left them with a huge challenge for the second half, Lixnaw struck for an early goal in the second half but this seemed to drive Causeway on and when Keith Carmody scored three quick goals, it was all to play for and Causeway had Lixnaw under enormous pressure but sadly the final whistle came too soon and Causeway lost out by a two point margin, Lixnaw 5-04 Causeway 5-02. The second half performance by the team was a joy to see and the heart they showed to keep trying to the end was outstanding.
