On Sunday 10th of September Causeway played Ballyduff in the County final. The first half was a close affair and with alot of frees from placed balls, there was only a point between the teams at half time Ballyduff 0-8 Causeway 0-7. The second half started slowly with scores hard to come by and it wasn't until the final five minutes when John Joe Canty blasted to the net after great teamwork from Stephen Goggin, John Fitzgerald, Shane Harty and John Mike Dooley that the game sprung to life, this was quickly followed by a Stephen Goggin point and it looked like Causeway might snatch victory but then a Ballyduff goal resulted from the Ballyduff puckout and this really rattled the Causeway team, Ballyduff quickly added on a late rally of points to win by six points on a score of Ballyduff 1-17 Causeway 1-11. Congratulations to Ballyduff and well done to the Causeway team who gave it their all and did the parish proud.
