The seniors played Lixnaw in the semi final of the county championship on Sunday 9th September and they got off to a great start when Alan Whyte goaled after great work by John Mike Dooley and then when John Joe Canty goaled midway through the half they were up by five points and then a sucession of Lixnaw frees brought them back into the game and at half time Causeway led by one point Casueway 2-04 Lixnaw 0-9. In the second half it was a close affair again and Causeway led for most of the game but when Mike Conway goaled for Lixnaw in the last ten minutes it set Lixnaw up for a good finish and despite the best efforts of the team Lixnaw ran out winners on a scoreline of Lixnaw 1-15 Causeway
