GAA Juvenile Fixtures:
U12s are due to play Lixnaw in the Michael Reidy Championship this coming Saturday at 3pm in Causeway.
GAA U21 Results:
Hard luck to the U21s who lost out to Kilmoyley in an exciting and close finish to their semi-final match on a scoreline of 4-15 to 4-12.
GAA Juvenile Fixtures:
U16s will play their final against Lixnaw. Confirmation of date and venue not available for this fixture. Please contact club mentors for details. U13s are away to Ardfert on Wednesday evening at 6.15. U10 blitz will take place in Ardfert Thursday 22nd July at 6pm.
GAA Senior Results:
The seniors played their first match in the County League against Kilmoyley last Wednesday but lost on a scoreline of 2-5 to 0-15.
GAA Senior Fixtures:
The seniors will play Abbeydorney next Sunday at 3.30pm in the championship. Please support.
Kerry Minors:
Hard Luck to the Kerry minors who lost out to Kildare last weekend in Newbridge in the All Ireland B competition. It was a very exciting game where extra time was played after a draw at full time. Kerry lost out by just one point in the finish of extra time where the scoreline read 4-17 to 3-21. The club is proud to have four players in the team – Tommy Barrett, Bryan Murphy, Richard Casey and Anthony Fealy.
GAA Juvenile Results:
Our U16s won their semi-final match against Kilmoyley winning on a scoreline of 5-15 to 3-6 qualifying them for the final. U13s lost their first match last Friday evening in a close finish of 3-9 to 3-8 against Lixnaw. Noel Sheehan U12 Blitz took place in Causeway last Saturday. Well done to the U12s who managed to win two matches and draw one match qualifying them for the final, but lost to a strong Ardfert side in the final.

Causeway will play Crotta in the first round of the championship this coming Sunday at 2pm in Austin Stacks. Please support. The Club wishes the seniors all the best in the championship.

Club Commemoration:
The club commemoration and unveiling of a plaque in the memory of Joseph (Joby) and Anne O’Connell took place last Saturday evening with the Abbeyknockmoy team and members of the Coleman family all attending from Galway. The Abbeyknockmoy team played against Causeway Seniors. It was an exciting match which went to extra time with Abbeyknockmoy winning out. A special plaque was presented to the winners and it is hoped to make this competition an annual event. A presentation to the O’Connell family and to the Coleman family took place along with the blessing and unveiling of the plaque. Sean Kelly attended along with Jerome Conway. The plaque was blessed by Fr. Walsh and a blessing was given by Fr O’Connell. Well done to all in the Club involved in the preparation of this important memorable day including the Four in a Row committee.
Hall of Fame:
The Hall of Fame was presented to Brendan O’Connell on Saturday to mark his achievements in the hurling field. Congratulations to Brendan.
VHI Cul Camp:
Football Camp will take place in Causeway next Monday 26th July 10am to 2pm
Appreciation:
North Kerry Commemoration Committee would like to thank the Causeway GAA Club for use of the car park where the parade for the James Hanlon commemoration assembled.
GAA Juvenile Results:
Our U16s won their match against Ballyduff last Thursday winning on a scoreline of 8-10 to 4-3 qualifying them for the semi-finals.
GAA Juvenile Fixtures:
U16s will play in semi-final this Thursday - no details at time of printing. U13s are away to Lixnaw on Friday at 6.30. U10 blitz will take place in Ardfert on Saturday 24th July at 10.30am.
GAA Senior Results:
Well done and congratulations to the Causeway Seniors on their win over Lixnaw in the final of the North Kerry Senior Hurling Championship (John Joe O'Sullivan Cup) last Friday evening. The final score was 3-7 to 0-7. The team captain Eamon Fitzgerald received the cup from Tom Lawlor, Chairman of North Kerry Board and well done to Shane Sheehan who received the man of the match award. The panel was as follows: Kieran Canty, Mark Dillane, Fergus Carroll, Paul O'Grady, Eamon Fitzgerald (capt), John Fitzgerald, Shane Sheehan, Jason Leahy, Johnny Dillane, Muiris Delaney, Cormac Flynn, Colm Harty, Cyril Dineen, John Mike Dooley, Stephen Goggin. Subs –Anthony Fealy, Richard Casey, Bryan Murphy, Eoin O'Grady, John Cantillon, Sean O'Dwyer, Shane Leahy, Adrian Casey, Adam White, Padraig Harty, Conor Harty, John Joe Canty, Mark Murphy (injured) and Graham Barrett (injured). Well done to trainer Donie Roche and all mentors involved in training and selecting the team.
GAA U21 Results:
Well done to the U21s who won their first match of the season against Ballyheigue winning on a scoreline of 3-9 to 2-10. They now qualify for the semi-final. The team was as follows: Seamus Breen, David Leen, Bryan Murphy, Eoin Grady, Kieran Leahy, Tommy Barrett, Adrian Casey, Jason Leahy, Darragh O'Halloran, John Cantillon, Richard Casey, Sean O'Dwyer, Anthony Fealy, Muiris Delaney, Adam White.
GAA Intermediate Results:
Well done to our Intermediates who won the North Kerry Intermediate Hurling Championship after receiving a walkover from Crotta. The trophy was presented to the Captain Conor Diggin. Well done to mentors Noel O'Connor, Brendan Harty and John Sheehan.
GAA Senior Championship draw:
U12 blitz will take place in Causeway this coming Saturday morning at 10.30. Causeway will play in Group 1 which includes Lixnaw, Crotta and St. Brendans. Let's hope for good weather for it!

Club Commemoration:
Causeway GAA Club will commemorate the late Joseph and Anne O'Connell RIP this Saturday evening. A match will take place where Causeway will play Abbeyknockmoy (Galway) at approx 6.30. An unveiling of a plaque by O'Connell and Coleman familes will take place in Clubrooms at approx 8pm. A hall of fame award will also be presented by Sean Kelly on the evening.
GAA Juvenile Results:
Well done to the U16s who won their match against Ardfert on a scoreline of 5-16 and 2-8. U11s played their final against Crotta last Wednesday evening but lost out to a stronger Crotta side, the final score was 3-5 to 1-3.

GAA Club wishes to congratulate Kerry Seniors on their win over Wicklow qualifying them for the Christy Ring Final. The club is proud to have four players on the team - John Fitzgerald, John Mike Dooley, Colm Harty and Padraig Monson. U14s won their semi final at home against Ballyduff last week on a scoreline of 3-8 to 5-8, but unfortunately they lost out to a strong Dingle side in the final which was played in Austin Stack Park last Saturday evening.

U11s will play their first match in the North Kerry Championship at home to Ballyduff at 6.30pm this Friday. U14s will play at home to Abbeydorney next Tuesday in the North Kerry Championship at 6.30pm.

Holy Well Ladies Walk:
Mass will be held in the Holy Well at Ladies Walk, Ballyduff on Friday 11th June at 8pm.

Well done to the U10s who took part in the fun blitz held in Ballyheigue last Saturday.

U14s will play at home against St. Brendans next Sunday at 6.30 pm in the start of the North Kerry Championship. The U14s will also be out at home against Ballyduff at 7pm in the Semi-Final of the County League next Tuesday at 7pm. U12s will play at home against Dr. Crokes in the County Semi-final this Friday at 6.30pm. So a busy few days for the juveniles. Please support.

Causeway GAA Club held a fun day last Sunday in the sportsfield incorporating the Camogie and Ladies Football. A great day was enjoyed by all children and adults. Thanks to all involved in co-ordinating the teams and well done to the ladies who provided the refreshments and thanks to the comhaltas group - Richard Casey, Dan J McCarthy, Nicholas Murphy, John Barret and Graham O'Connor who played the music on the day.
Drumnacurra Cuman na mbunscoil:
Well done to Drumnacurra who played and won their match against Duagh last week. The score was 3-6 to 1-1. The teams was follows: Sinead Leen, Seamus Leen, Rachel Burke, Brandon Barrett, Erin Rown, Samantha Goggin, Kevin Slattery, Morgan Lane, Alannah O'Connor, Ciara Canty, Aidan Lane.

Causeway GAA Club will celebrate La nag Club again this year. It will take place next Sunday 9th May at 12.00 in the sportsfield, it will involve blitzes in both hurling and camogie, it will be a fun day for the community and clubs.
Feile na nGael:
Hard Luck and Well done to Causeway U14s who reached the final of the Feile last weekend. They played Dingle, Ballyduff and Kilmoyley on Saturday in the playoffs winning their matches against Dingle and Kilmoyley qualifying them for a semi-final place against Ballyheigue on Sunday which they won on a scoreline of 2-7 to 2-8. The final took place in Ballyduff on Monday evening against Ballyduff. Causeway put it up to Ballyduff in the first half, but Ballyduff proved to be the stronger side in the second half and won out the final. Well done to the coaches, mentors and the boys.
