GAA Presentation Juvenile Night

GAA Presentation Juvenile Night was held last Friday night. A large crowd attended. It was an enjoyable night thanks to the kind hospitality received from Ballyroe Heights Hotel. All juveniles were delighted to receive their medals for 2009. Hopefully 2010 will prove to be as successful with silverware.

U16 All Ireland Final:

GAA Club congratulates the Comprehensive School team on their massive All Ireland win against Loughrea last weekend in the U16 competition. This is the second year in a row for the school to win this All Ireland title. It is a huge boost for the future of hurling in Kerry. Well done to their trainer Maurice Leahy and to Willie Dowling and John Joe Delaney who mentored the team throughout the competition and to Maurice Fitzgerald for his First Aid expertise. Well done to the team and all involved along the way. Congratulations to our own Club boys who were part of the team and to Muiris Delaney who was captain. The club boys were Muiris Delaney (capt), Tommy Barrett, Paul McGrath, Darren Leahy, Sean Leahy and Keith Carmody. Well done to all involved in such a great achievement.

GAA Presentation Juvenile Night

It is almost here! Please purchase your tickets for this presentation night which includes supper and disco in Ballyroe Heights Hotel on Friday 5th March at 7.30 pm sharp. Ticket Prices - Adult €15 and Children €10. Tickets can be purchased from Club Officers John Joe Delaney, John Madden, Mike Joe Quilter, Fiona Flynn and Mary Barrett and in Hanlys Post Office.

GAA Fixtures:

Seniors will play Ardfert in the North Kerry Hurling League on Saturday next at 4pm at home. U15s will play Abbeydorney in North Kerry championship at home on Sunday next at 4pm. Please support - both matches at home.

U16 All Ireland Final:

Causeway GAA Club wishes the Comprehensive School U16s the best of luck in their All Ireland quest against Loughrea in Gaelic Grounds Limerick this Saturday at 2.30.

SCÓR WINNER

Bryan Murphy, Ballinglanna who won the 2010 All Ireland Scor Recitation Competition

Congratulations and well done to Brian Murphy, Ballinglanna who won the Scór All Ireland Recitation Competition last weekend in Athlone. This is a brilliant achievement for Brian who is well known for his brilliant recitation, singing and musical ability, even though he is only 12 years old. A great future ahead for Brian. The GAA club is very proud to have an All Ireland Scór winner in their midst. Well Done Brian and Good luck in the future.

Delegate to Coiste Na Og - Stephen Goggin, Delegates to County Board and NKHB - Pat Sheehy and Kieran O'Connor.

GAA Membership

Membership is now due for 2010. Fees can be paid to John Madden or any Club Officer or Coach. Players - €50. Members - €30. U18 to U15 - €15. U14 to U10 - €10. Please pay as soon as possible. All membership monies have to paid within next few weeks, remember if you are not a member you will not be eligible to enter draw for tickets to matches throughout the year.
